Here's Some Snippets Of What People Are Saying About Their Fusion Jade Yoga Mats
- This mat is worth its price! The transaction and delivery were quick and efficient. It makes me happy to know that it's made out of natural rubber so that I don't have to worry about endangering my health. The mat is thick and I don't have to worry about being uncomfortable while practicing yoga. It has a rubber smell, but I am hoping that it will dissipate with time.
- Pros: Durable, Eco-friendly, very non-slip, beautiful colors, comfortable, for every mat sold they plant a tree.
Cons: Heavy- but this doesn't particularly bother me. Must step off to the side to do certain balancing poses like Tree because the cushion makes it difficult to balance.
Overall, the cons don't bother me because I have not yet found a mat that works better for me than this one. I highly recommend this yoga mat.
- I have tried the Manduka Mat, a yoga rug, a Gaiam mat, and a $2.00 mat from TJ Maxx. This Harmony mat is the best BY FAR! I love yoga. I practice every day. I sweat profusely. This mat DOES NOT SLIP. It is fantastic! The Manduka Black Mat slipped so badly it was distracting to my practice. You will not have this problem with this mat. The extra thickness is an added bonus for me. It may take some time to adjust to the thickness in balancing poses, but it's good to challenge yourself. Worth every penny! I promise!
Benefits of Yoga For Your Health
Yoga is considered a great way to relax and balance the mind, body and spirit, exercise, reduce stress and even relieve pain, but it must be practiced properly. People also use yoga for high blood pressure, asthma and depression. Yoga is a mind-body practice with origins in ancient Indian philosophy. The various styles of yoga that people use for health purposes usually combine physical postures, breathing techniques and meditation or relaxation. It is not really known what changes take place in the body when doing yoga; whether it influence health and if so in what way. However, there is growing evidence to suggest that yoga works to enhance stress coping mechanisms and mind-body awareness. Researchers are working on finding out more on yoga effects and the diseases and conditions that it can help.
Yoga can also be used to:
- Increase lung capacity
- Positively affect levels of certain brain or blood chemicals
- Improve muscle relaxation and body composition
- Reduce heart rate and blood pressure
- Improve overall physical fitness, strength and flexibility
- Improve mood and self of well-being
When practiced properly, yoga is considered safe in healthy people with very few side effects. However, you should talk to your doctor before trying yoga if you have an injury or medical condition. For example, people with a risk of blood clots, extremely high or low blood pressure, fragile or artherosclerotic arteries, cervical spondylitis, glaucoma, retinal detachment and ear problems should avoid some inverted poses. Yoga is safe for pregnant women once it's practiced under expert guidance, but should avoid certain poses that may be problematic.
Always warm up before doing yoga and wear clothes that allow you to move freely. Practice yoga with a qualified instructor who has plenty of experience. Drink enough water and don't push yourself too hard, and stop if you experience pain. Learn proper technique and the basic of yoga, if you're not sure of what you're doing always ask questions.
